Legendary Coach Bernie Holowicki created the “All-Star Basketball Camp” in 1976 as one of the first youth basketball camps in Metro Detroit. Coach Holowicki brought the camp to Madonna University when he took over the Men's Basketball program in 1995. Each of the camp’s countless drills, games, and competitions were the product of Coach Holowicki’s desire to inspire the youth through the game of basketball. During his 30 plus years of coaching at the high school level coach Holowicki tallied 612 wins, including the 1976 state championship at Catholic Central. Coach Holowicki’s passion for teaching the game has been what makes All-Star Basketball Camp the best in Metro Detroit.
