The idea for this league is derived from what many of us did as young players, while participating in fall sports (for me it was football), many of us would get the boys together on Sunday afternoons to play basketball so that we were ready when tryouts and the season came.
Our S.F.B.L. offers that same opportunity, focus on your fall sport but continue to prepare for the winter tryout and leagues.
Young men grades four through 12 will sign up as individuals and be placed on to a team of no more than nine players. Over seven weeks, players will receive drill instruction in our "Training Camp" game experience in our regular season and the opportunity to advance in our single elimination tournament.
While we do not have practice during the week, players will receive valuable instruction in game from their coaches who are Madonna University's players and staff. The S.F.B.L. thrives on have a great turnout so that we can place your son against players of his age and ability. We ask and encourage you to tell your friends about the league as it truly will create a better experience for all involved. We will work to create leagues of competitive age groups and size so that each player gains valuable experience.
