The idea behind the Sunday Fall Basketball League comes from how many of us grew up. While playing fall sports—football for me—we would still find time on Sunday afternoons to get in the gym and play basketball. That informal competition helped us stay sharp and ready when winter tryouts and league play arrived.
SFBL offers that same opportunity today: focus on your fall sport, while continuing to prepare for the winter basketball season.
League Overview
The SFBL is designed for boys in grades 4–12. Players register as individuals and are placed on balanced teams of no more than nine players. Over the course of seven weeks, participants will receive: ● A one-day Training Camp experience ● Weekly structured games with in-game instruction ● A regular season followed by a single-elimination playoff tournament
There are no weekday practices. All instruction takes place during games, led by Madonna University men’s basketball players and staff.
Competitive & Development-Focused
The SFBL thrives on strong participation so we can place players in divisions based on age and ability, creating competitive and positive game environments. We encourage families to share the league with friends—greater participation leads to better competition and a better experience for everyone involved. Our goal is to create divisions that allow every player to gain confidence, improve skills, and experience meaningful game reps.
